Untwisting Scriptures — Book Three
Book 3
Your Words, Your Emotions
“Don’t gossip,” “Don’t bear false witness,” “Don’t be negative,” These words and more have been used to keep the duct tape over the mouths of those who are being harmed. Untwisting Scriptures #3 goes after them.
It also addresses other harmful messages that have been delivered in the name of God regarding our emotions, especially focusing on fear and anxiety, anger, and empathy, laying out what Scripture teaches about these emotions.
Scriptures can be untwisted. You can walk away from the spiritual abuse of “Don’t Talk Don’t Feel” without losing a relationship with God. In fact, you may just find a Jesus you never knew.

I love the clarity that Rebecca Davis uses to explain the misuse of scripture and the search for the truth in the Bible so that others can hear and become free of the bondage inflicted upon them. Others can see the lies they have also perpetuated and repent fully – speaking out against such lies.
Thank you Rebecca.

… This book is a clear and straightforward discussion every pastor and all lay workers in the Church need to read. We can’t all be experts on the things she has invested such time and energy to study and explain so well, but being simply informed is absolutely imperative for leadership in the Church. The oppressed among us must get the help they need instead of being re-wounded by those who claim to serve the Lord. This book will begin that process…

If I could give this book six stars, I would. It is so practical, reasonable, and readable. It is full of good news for the soul. Rebecca Davis seems to have the gift of teaching.
